The Patio of Homes backing West will be unusable after Noon during June through August. In winter months, sun in the late afternoon can make a patio more pleasant, but patios are used less often in winter. On balance, most home owners prefer not to have a west-backing lot. For east-backing homes, some bedroom windows are likely to get blasted every AM, but good window coverings can remedy this. South-backing homes are warmed by the low winter sun, a benefit , and have shaded patios in summer as the sun shine becomes more northerly. North-backing homes generally have no sun orientation issues, plus or minus. Properties off the coordinate directions will have some combination of these mostly summertime issues.
